Caton Avenue Nursing Home
Rendering of the proposed nursing home on Caton Avenue.
The
developer, Marvin Azrak, and his architect met with community members
to present their plans for a nursing home to be built on Caton Avenue
between E. 7th and E. 8th streets. These plans were approved in 1993 by
DOB but construction has been delayed due to lack of funding and state
approvals. Mr. Azrak reported that the Ahi Ezer Congregation has now
secured HUD funding and state permits and expects to begin construction
soon.
